I got an e-mail form Kim Petersen at First American Title about the abduction of a 6-year-old boy who was kidnapped this morning from a home near Hollywood and Lake Mead.

The boy was wearing a black John Cena tee-shirt, dark jeans and tennis shoes. He has blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing silver-rimmed glasses.

I was not planning to blog today, but I have decided to publish this for two reasons. By far the most important one is that no Amber Alerts were issued in this case since the police don’t have a car description, so if there is a one in a billion chance that this post may help, it is worth the effort.

And the other reason is that one of my all time favorite clients, Josie was  an alternate juror on the case of  Gladys Perez and Marc Anthony Colon, who are accused of killing Crystal Figueroa, a.k.a. Jane “Cordova” Doe, and leaving the body in a trash bin, which is more suited for themselves rather than an innocent child. I am not going much into it, to get more info you can Google any of the names. The non-mother got life with possibility of parole and the other trash got life without possibility of parole, which I strongly thought should have been a death sentence. Although, I wouldn’t bet two cents on this trash to be alive by 2010. His own prison mates will kill him; because in their warped mind a gang killer who kills many is a hero and trash like Colon, a trophy hunt. Prisoners don’t look kindly on child molesters or child killers.

Jane Cordova was not the only victim in this crime. Her family, with the exception of the non-mother are victims too and so is Josie. Josie is the bubbliest lady one can ever hope to meet and her bubblieness (I might have just invented this word, so says Karen, I told her I like it) is contagious. She immigrated to the United States when she was 8 and has been here for over 20 years. Her sense of civic responsibility is exemplary as she had to give up a month of her life to sit in a court and see the worst humanity has to offer. Putting great human beings in a good Las Vegas home is what makes working 10 hours a day worthwhile and I consider it a great honor to serve her. She told me that the poor little girl was punched so hard in the stomach that it broke her ribs and damaged her internal organs and she also told me that she dreams about the graphic pictures of the dead child at night and it is very hard on her. She and others like her are what make Las Vegas, not low lives that lose a bit of their humanity every time they hurt someone until there is nothing left but trash. Anthony Colon is a good example. Josie told me that he showed no remorse, which is not surprising because if he had a shred of conscience he wouldn’t have done what he did.

I am scared that our little boy is being held by the likes of Colon and that is detrimental to his life.

Metro police say a 6-year-old boy was kidnapped this morning from a home
near Hollywood and Lake Mead during a robbery around 7:15 a.m.

Police say two men, described as Latin, took Cole Puffinburger. The boy
was wearing a black John Cena tee-shirt, dark jeans and tennis shoes. He
has blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing silver-rimmed glasses.

According to police, the two suspects knocked on the door and indicated
they were police however once inside they tied up the boy’s mother and
her male friend and began looking for money in the home. Police say they
took the boy when no money was found.

No Amber Alert has been issued because police say they do not have a
description of the car, which is one of the requirements.
